I love to research, strategize, and take action.

Having started and grown businesses across multiple
high-growth industries – including ecommerce, logistics, cannabis, and healthcare – I’ve learned that no matter the field, growth is a function of product market fit, wise leadership, and creative channel strategy.

Whether I'm taking the lead or taking direction, I like to roll up my sleeves and I believe in a curious, collaborative, and methodical approach.

My Companies
& Projects

Here are a few projects I’ve enjoyed working on over the years:

🚀
Leading the growth of a small, steel fabrication shop into its eventual acquisition—the largest of its kind in the hemp processing space—by implementing software and processes, developing a GTM strategy, and building a sales department.
📦
Launching, scaling, and selling a D2C ecommerce site with a custom logistics platform to manage nationwide shipping from 23 distribution sites.
💊
Building comprehensive strategy for a $300MM/yr healthcare firm, assessing their organizational strengths and identifying new opportunities to diversify revenue.
🌿
Launching a D2C CBD brand focused on small batch,
high-quality tinctures at prices that can’t be beat.

My Story

It all began at the age of seven when I started selling fresh-squeezed, backyard-to-table lemonade at the BART station in San Francisco, a few blocks from home.

It was a thriving business with happy regulars...until I was cited for operating without a permit. For better or worse, the city doesn't give permits to seven-year-olds. So I entered the unregulated market of custom stationary design on the home microcomputer.

Fast forward two decades: fresh out of college I recruited a network of small-boat fishing families around the U.S. and created a two-sided marketplace for sushi-quality, sustainable seafood. To handle the cold chain logistics, I led development of software to route packages according to cost, speed, and weather. We then tracked packages and alerted carriers and customers anytime our system flagged a problem, resulting in 40% fewer reships.

I eventually sold this company to VitalChoice, which is now owned by 1-800-FLOWERS.

Since then, I’ve continued doing what I love: helping companies that are making the world a better place get from 0 to 1 and 1 to N.
